We believe that hospice care is essentail to a peaceful death, for the patient and their loved ones. Insurance often covers hospice care, but there are many in our community without insurance or limited insurance resources. While economic times are tough, the need for financial assistance among those suffering from a terminal illness continues to grow.
Iowa Health Hospice provides comfort care and education for patients and their families in their homes, in nursing care facilities, at physician clinics, hospitals, and in our beautiful 12-bed facility, the Taylor House. Nearly 100 patients and their families are touched by our program each day.

Other opportunities to support Iowa Health Hospice
Thank you for your interest; your gifts make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families. We are a not-for-profit, charitable organization that relies on community support to carry out its mission: to improve the health of our community through healing, caring and teaching.
Your gifts support our work in a number of ways, and you can designate your gift to a one of the following areas.
· Iowa Health Hospice Capital Equipment Fund
Your donation helps purchase equipment, which provides comfort for our patients. Oxygen concentrators are needed to provide ease in breathing, an electric hoyer lift will help transfer patients from their bed to a chair & tri-cell mattresses provide safety & comfort for patients with open wounds or fractures.
· Good Samaritan Fund
Your donation helps patients who are unable to pay for their care. With your help, a caregiver of a seriously ill patient can receive a night of respite, a patient can receive a day of care or important medicines can be paid for.
· Legacies & Last Wishes Fund
Your donation allows our patients to complete unfinished business or leave a lasting memory for their loved ones. Items like hand sculpture keepsakes and fingerprint pendants are created for our patients to give to their loved ones, or provide a holiday meal for a patient and their family to create lasting memories.
· General Operations Fund
Your donation can provide a counseling session with our bereavement staff for a child who has lost a loved one, help stock the family kitchen at the Taylor House, or provide a relaxation kit for our patients or caregivers.
We are happy to work with prospective donors to determine how they may wish to make a gift; however, donors should consult with their own financial and tax advisors before finalizing a gift.
